Purchased two of these bound books for our business and they have become very useful to log firearms in and out. Only complaint would be that the boxes are rather small, making it difficult to write it all of the information that we need to. The overall quality is good. They are well made and cleanly manufactured. The issue, for me, is that they have an abundance of cells for information that are badly placed and spaced in a way that makes them difficult to use. On the acquisition side, the date space is incredibly small, to the point that it’s difficult to input the date in normal handwriting, but a spaces for the cost and “tag†number are almost twice the size, which also makes the name/address/license space half the size it needs to be. If more than one person will be using these in your shop, I’d probably recommend looking at another book.
This is the first Acquisition & Disposition book that I purchased. The columns are WAY too narrow to enter the required information. Very poor format. The next book I purchase, very soon, will have only the ATF required columns. If I can find one.
I strongly recommend passing on this record book for one reason, the two records do not line up across the binder. It is annoying to see that they could have may any number of small typeset changes so you flow across and the numbers are then merely a happy bit of help rather than an offset boat anchor.
Exactly what's needed but, like all of these books, you have to write very small to fit the descriptions and addresses in the space provided. One tip is to use two lines for each firearm, though that makes these books half the size. If you really needed more lines or went through several books a year you should be doing this electronically anyway.
Has all the basic information I will need to record for my C&R license transactions. In fact, the number of pages included is more than I will probably ever use for the rest of my life. Would have been nice to have some internal pockets, but it will definitely serve its purpose.
What's there to say, my ATF inspector looked at it and said he liked it. He said the spot for "notes" was something he hadn't seen very often and that it comes in handy. It's not built like a tank but it should hold together until we're all forced to keep records on a ATF cloud server. Three star build quality. Four stars for the layout.
perfect for our company needs and it meets all the regulations for the US Federal Government. I would have liked a picture of the pages though as I was nervous purchasing it without being sure of what was on the pages.
